The Greenville Tourism Commission is pleased to offer the Tourism Advancement Grant (TAG) to support impactful events that drive tourism in our community. This grant ensures transparency, merit-based funding, and accountability for public resources, helping to create events that attract visitors and boost local economic growth.
What’s New?
To improve efficiency and fairness in the funding process, we are shifting from a year-round application system to a once-a-year application period. This change allows us to review all applications at the same time, ensuring that funds are distributed strategically and equitably to events that will have the greatest impact on tourism in Greenville.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Tourism Advancement Grant (TAG), applicants must meet the following criteria:
Event Timing: Events must occur within the upcoming fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
Funding Cap: The grant is capped at two consecutive years for annual events.
Post-Event Reporting: If awarded funding, applicants must provide a post-event report.
